The M.Vision S is an updated version of the M.Vision, an autonomous concept car which Hyundai Mobis showcased at CES 2019. S stands for sharable, signifying that the M.Vision S is built for shared mobility. The Digital Micromirror Device (DMD), which communicates with pedestrians through the headlamps, was a signature feature of M.Vision. The M.Vision S showcased at CES 2020 is equipped with communication lighting technology and various sensors for autonomous driving and shared mobility functions. Created in partnership with Hyundai Transys, the interior of the M.Vision S is designed as a lounge which allows passengers to work or rest as needed. The driver’s seat and steering wheel positions are automatically adjusted depending on whether it is in autonomous or manual mode. Its gesture control system allows passengers to watch movies or play music in autonomous mode.

Mini Interview
Hyundai Mobis participated in CES 2020 under the slogan of "ACE of Mobility" demonstrating its intention to be a leader in autonomous driving, connectivity and electrification. We interviewed Ms. Eun-jung Kim who was responsible for the exhibition at CES 2020.
Q1. The M.Vision S looks quite futuristic. How did its design evolve?
We wanted to showcase Hyundai Mobis’ shared mobility vision for the autonomous future through the M.Vision S. We wanted to differ from the established norm, and so created the used dynamic motorbike as its design motif. With this motif, we express our own identity and its various applications.

Q2. What are the key developments compared to the M.Vision showcased at CES 2019?
The M.Vision was created with a focus on the communication lighting on the exterior of the vehicle. The M.Vision S also has the communication lighting function but it also shows the interior space and how it communicates with the driver and the people inside. The exterior is equipped with front, rear and roof communication lighting and a side display screen which can show motion graphics and progressive lighting in conjunction with the infotainment content. The interior is equipped with lounge-type corner seats and a bike-type center steering wheel. It is also equipped with a transparent display and touchless user interface, which is unique to the M.Vision S.
"Mobility DIY zone", which allowed visitors to change the shape and color of the M.Vision S was especially popular
Q3. What did visitors to the Hyundai Mobis’ booth experience? How did they react?
The Hyundai Mobis’ booth is designed to make it easy for visitors to experience the technologies incorporated into the M.Vision S. We create various media content designed to provide a fun experience which is also easy to understand, instead of simply feeding them information. The most popular zones amongst our visitors were the "Hydrogen zone" which provided a wide range of experiences of fuel cells, a promising clean energy, and the "Mobility DIY zone" which allowed visitors to customize their vehicles.
