Hyundai Motors Global introduces three heartwarming, special meetings.
We are growing apart day by day. Distancing is the virtue these days. ‘Meeting’ someone is precious and wanted more than ever. These are the times in need of heartwarming news. Hyundai Motors is carrying out special meetings around the world. Here are three special Hyundai Motors Global meetings that will touch your heart.
Warmhearted Employees Meet a Drifting, Abandoned Dog.
What is the story with an abandoned dog that visits the Hyundai Motors Brazil showroom every day?
The news of Hyundai Motors Brazil’s precious meeting with a lost, abandoned dog made headlines. This is a story about an abandoned dog that got a name and a new family after visiting the Hyundai Motors agency showroom in Serra, Espirito Santo, Brazil, everyday. He was the first dog to be issued an official pass. He’s the agency’s mascot TUCSON PRIME, who has over 60,000 followers on Instagram.
On a rainy day in June, an abandoned dog appeared in the Hyundai Motors Brazil agency parking lot. The employees invited the wet abandoned dog to the showroom and provided him with food and a place to rest. After that day, the abandoned dog visited the agency, every day. Did he want to show his gratitude? This abandoned dog sat in front of the agency entrance and greeted the customers with an exceptional friendliness.
The wandering abandoned dog got a name and a new family.
The wandering dog soon warmed up to the agency people as well as the customers. Employees went through the adoption process and officially became the dog’s family. He was named after the Hyundai Motors SUV TUCSON PRIME. Employees took him to the vet and gave him a checkup and vaccination to be with him for a long while. They also built his house at a corner of the store so that he no longer had to suffer from hunger and the cold. As if to repay this, TUCSON greeted the customers with an exceptional friendliness.
TUCSON PRIME is now the lucky mascot of Hyundai Motors agency.
Thanks to TUCSON, The Serra Hyundai Motors agency now has more family customers and customers who visit with their dogs. They also have 34,000 more followers on Instagram. He sure is the lucky mascot. Hyundai Motors Brazil prepared a pet playground in the agency so that customers can visit whenever with their pets. Thanks to TUCSON PRIME, who is not just loved in Brazil but around the world, the Serra Hyundai Motors agency is filled with joy.
Dad and Daughter, Who Are Separated Farthest than Anybody in the World, Meet Up.
How could a father and a daughter, who are separated farthest than anybody in the world, meet up?
Chances of a father who lives in outer space and a daughter living in Earth meeting up seems slim. But Hyundai Motors made the impossible possible. They drew up the largest letter in the world for Stephanie, who misses her father in the space station.
Hyundai Motors drew up and delivered a huge, heartwarming message from a desert in Nevada, U.S., to the outer space. ‘Steph loves you!’ This humongous tire track message was produced to show a daughter’s longing for her astronaut father all the way to the outer space. It amounts to 55.5㎢ (1.68 million pyeong) in size, which is about 1.6 times the size of Central Park in New York; it’s a new addition to the Guinness Book of Records as The Largest Tire Track Image.
A daughter’s heartfelt message spread across the Nevada desert.
Stephanie’s letter was re-written through the Hyundai Motors Global campaign ‘Message to Space.’ It’s a global Hyundai Motors project involving experts of various fields such as an automobile stunt man, an art designer, a location manager, etc.
Deserts around the U.S. were sought out for a month and a half to find the right location which would provide a sort of big sketchbook so that this huge message would stay put and not get deleted. In the end, Delamar Dry Lake was chosen as not a spot of wind blows over it. 11 Genesis vehicles with elaborate GPS drew out the detailed message without a single fault.
World’s biggest letter is now complete.
Dad read Stephanie’s message from the space station and sent a reply, saying how he was thankful and that he loved her. Stephanie also said, “I am so happy that I could tell dad how much we are thinking of him all the time.” Stephanie’s dad must have seen many grandiose, amazing things from the space, but this has got to be the most special thing he would have seen from the space. We hope that this special message that connects the Earth and the outer space will be remembered by the father and the daughter eternally.
A Meeting of a Grandfather Who Had the Impossible Dream and a Grandson Who Made that Dream Come True
Here’s a story of a great grandson who set out to follow traces of his great grandfather who had a grand dream.
Have you heard of the great failure, Sir Ernest Shackleton? In 1914, Shackleton set out with 27 of his team members to traverse the South Pole. But after a month into his departure, he had to give up on the dream as his ship was surrounded by floating ice. Since then, the goal of Shackleton’s team became survival, not traversing the South Pole. 2017 marked the 100th year since Shackleton giving up on his dream. Hyundai Motors set out to realize Shackleton’s dream by gathering the descendants of the Shackleton team so that they could traverse the South Pole in Santa Fe. The Santa Fe was engraved with the names of the exploration team members and the message from their descendants.
Patrick rode Santa Fe and traversed the South Pole all the way to the McMurdo Station.
Shackleton’s great grandson Patrick Bergel traversed the South Pole and arrived at the McMurdo Station. The dream Shackleton gave up to save his members was realized in 100 years. The journey amassed to a total of 5,800km, from the South Pole Union Camp to the McMurdo Station and back. The journey went on for 30 days in Antarctica, where there wasn’t any road, person, nothing. Shackleton’s challenge was not a failure. It just took him 100 years to realize it.
Hyundai Motors Santa Fe is the first mass-produce car to successfully traverse the South Pole.
engine, transmission, etc., was just as an original mass-produce car. Tires were replaced with 38-inch ones, ground clearance was heightened, and suspension and gear ratio were adjusted a little. The Santa Fe that handled the heartwarming journey that transcended generations was donated to the Jangbogo Antarctic Research Station for research purposes.
Social distancing is causing us to physically distance ourselves from one another. Meeting people has become precious more than ever. Because the warmth meeting one another conveys is still well remembered, Hyundai Motors Global’s long lasting, touching meetings will continue.
