It’s also great for foodies as there are many clam grill places with reasonable prices around the shore. When you are full, go see Wolmido’s unique specialty ‘Wolmi Theme Park’. From the ‘Tagada Disco’, famous on SNS for its drastic movements that seem as if you could fall off the ride any minute to the Ferris wheel that allows you to quietly admire the Wolmido landscape, numerous rides are installed over the 4,000 pyeong field. If your family loves an active day out, Wolmido will be the destination for unexpected surprises and fun.

Island where hermits once frolicked, Seonyudo
Seonyudo is now more approachable than ever with the Gogunsan connecting road
It was the second most looked up island on Mappy with 389 searches. Many people would immediately think of the Seonyudo Park in Yongdeungpo-gu, but the Seonyudo we are introducing today is located in Gunsan. It’s the first place that comes up if you search the word ‘Seonyudo’ on Mappy and one of the most loved islands on the west coast.
Seonyudo provides the serene, tranquil landscape that will make you forget all your worries
Gunsan, where Seonyudo is located, was named so meaning ‘mountains gathering’ because there are many islands around the region. When ‘Goguansan connecting road’ that connects 4 islands of Sinsido, Munyeodo, Seonyudo and Jangjado opened along with the Saemangeum breakwater in 2017, it became a lot easier to travel Seonyudo by car. It’s also great to take a walk around the island with the bridge on this small island.
Like the name ‘an island where hermits frolicked’, Seonyudo’s waters are still and tranquil like a lake. In the Goryeo dynasty, it played an important role in maritime trade. Dip your toes in the beach where water is shallow, and climb up the mountain and look down on the beautiful Seonyudo. It will make all your fatigue disappear.

Tando Port is located near Jebudo and is well known for its beautiful sunset
You can admire the sunset on the Jebudo shore walk, but go down the road to ‘Tando Port’ for a better view. This is where the wind power generators are located, which can also be seen from Jebudo as well. The wind is quite strong here, but the Tando Port sunset is well worth it.
