Hyundai Motors recently released its campaign video- 'Easy Life with Smart Technology'. Though it might talk about a complicated subject, the adorable animals will bring a smile to your face. Let’s take a look at some of the new lifestyles that different animal characters enjoyed through Hyundai’s new technologies.
New Technologies around the Corner
A superstar JJ Giraffe described his experience with the new technologies on a talk show.
There are four episodes about animals using high-end technology; the first one is the beginning of a whole campaign scenario. A superstar JJ Giraffe appeared on a talk show and described his amazing experience with the new technologies - self-driving, automatic parking, 'relax mode' for relieving stress, in-car shopping, and even in-car health monitoring.
Autonomous Parking: Reducing the Burden of Parking
The sloth couple highlighted the benefits that self-driving and autonomous parking cars could offer.
A pair of sloths stars in the second episode. Sloths are known as the slowest mammals on Earth. The couple shows how easy their lives have become while driving a Hyundai car.
The in-vehicle Car-to-Home application can control the temperature of your home.
For such a slow animal, driving is a life-threatening thing to do. But Hyundai Motors' state-of-the-art technologies made the couple's lives so much easier. The car in the episode takes the couple to their destinations without any pre-planning and plays music with a simple gesture. On the way home, the 'Car to Home' application can warm up their home right after it measures the outside temperature. The home's IoT (Internet of Things) devices and the connected car get integrated into the application. The Hyundai Kona, Kia K5, and K7 also have the Car-to-Home application.
You will be able to park your car with your smartphone in the near future.
The episode talks about autonomous parking with details. This system integrates valet parking services with autonomous driving, and all this can happen with just using a smartphone. The automobile lets the passengers off at their desired destination and automatically goes to a parking lot, finds an empty space and parks, or drives to an appointed location on its own. Unlike a neighbor sloth who took a whole day to park his car, the couple parked their car using the autonomous driving function. The Gesture Control, the Car-to-Home, the autonomous driving/parking function can enhance future mobility.
Window Display technology: Communicating with Pedestrians
Hyundai Motors’ future technologies will improve the lives of drivers and passengers.
The third episode is about a family of meerkats. Meerkats get startled at even the smallest things, but thanks to Hyundai’s new autonomous vehicle with all the connectivity technologies, they do not always need to be on the lookout and can enjoy warm and loving family time.
Window Display is a communication tool for Le Fil Rouge with pedestrians.
The autonomous car in the episode features a self-driving technology that enables the automobile to detect and the surrounding environment. It drives safely to its destination, sometimes even taking a detour around bad weather or school zone roads. Window Display is a new communication tool for the automobile to communicate with people outside the vehicle using its windshield. This episode features Window Display, a technology that emits light on a special film inserted in the windshield so that people walking outside can view texts and information. The Le Fil Rouge Concept from the episode sends messages such as “Cross safely” to passing pedestrians. Also, the Cascading Grille of Le Fil Rouge detects pedestrians and informs its direction.
Window Display technology alerts the vehicle behind to any danger.
The focus of the episode is the Window Display technology. By using transparent window displays, communication with pedestrians or other vehicles becomes possible. It can inform its direction to pedestrians at the front, or alert other vehicles behind to any danger through a rear window. In the future, your vehicle's ordinary windshield will not be just a 'wind-shield', displaying all kinds of information. Communications between the vehicle and the driver will expand further, to other vehicles and pedestrians.
Health Monitoring System: Measuring the Driver’s Vital Signs
More Than Convenience: Hyundai Motors’ future technology provides health care.
The main character of the last episode is the Businessman Panda. Just like everybody else, who is often late for work because of chronic fatigue, seems to need a health check. Without using car keys, this bio-authentication system verifies fingerprints to automatically open the door. His car also drives autonomously and provides the best driving environment for him by automatically move the seat. The Hyundai Santa Fe released in China already features the bio-authentication system.
The Health Care Technology in the vehicle measures the driver's heart rate and stress level with sensors installed in the steering wheel and seat backrests.
The final episode features Health Care Technology. This brand-new technology in the vehicle measures the driver's heart rate, stress, and respiration rate with sensors installed in the steering wheel and seat backrests, while ensuring a comfortable ride with Relax Mode during the autonomous drive. The technology also helps to ensure driver safety by activating emergency rescue services if a health threat is detected.
