NEXO
Fully charged in less than 5 minutes, with a range of 609km and only emitting water, NEXO takes care of all of the important concerns associated with automobiles. Anticipating the dawn of the ?FCEV era? in a few years, there is also growing anticipation of a Hydrogen Society.

Futuristic design: Inspiration from horizon
NEXO’s interior and exterior are both designed for a futuristic look, the horizon positioning lamp, inspired by the idea of a horizon symbolizing a boundary between the present and the future, on the front of NEXO, is a prime example. The auto flush door handle, which presents itself when approached, is particularly unusual.
Absolute safety from all impacts: Hydrogen storage tank
Hydrogen storage tank of NEXO has three layers including a high-strength carbon fiber layer is controlled using various safety devices. It also passed most stringent international safety test which subjects hydrogen tank to collision, bonfire and drop test.
Advanced technology: Smart driving & good performance
The Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) makes NEXO even more attractive with Hyundai first features. For example, Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) allows the driver to park or pull out NEXO from a parking lot without being inside. Lane Following Assist (LFA) recognizes lane marks and automatically adjusts the steering to assist the driver to keep in the center of the lane.
The Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) projects the side views of NEXO onto the center cluster for the driver, using cameras mounted on the rear view mirrors, while changing lanes with the turn signal on, ensuring safe driving.
Environmental benefits: Removing particulate matters
NEXO has a three stage air filtration system which is capable of removing 99.9% of PM 2.5, and then releasing cleaned air and water vapor. For example 10,000 NEXOs on the road can remove particulate matter from 20,000 diesel cars and reduce carbon emissions equivalent to 0.6 million trees.

Hydrogen Storage System
The system stores hydrogen which acts as the fuel for the FCEV. NEXO is equipped with a three tank hydrogen storage system which with what is currently the largest capacity available in the world.
High Voltage Battery
The high voltage battery supplies electricity during acceleration and also stores the electricity generated by the regenerative braking system for improved fuel efficiency.
Fuel Cell
The Fuel Cell relies on a reverse electrolysis process during which oxygen reacts with hydrogen ions and generates electricity which is then used to power the electric drive motor.
Electric Drive Motor
The electric drive motor generates power to move the vehicle using electricity supplied from the Fuel Cell stack and the high voltage battery. The electric motor is highly efficient and emission free.
NEXO’s long list of achievements
NEXO
NEXO has earned a number of awards for its performance and its safety from respected institutes worldwide. In January 2018, NEXO debuted at the 'CES 2018' held in Las Vegas and won the prestigious 'Editors’ Choice Award', a clear recognition of its competitiveness as a next-generation FCEV. The award set a crucial milestone in Hyundai Motor's FCEV development which began in 1998.
Later in 2018, NEXO won the top safety rating in the 'EURO NCAP', a recognition for its exceptional safety. NEXO is the first FCEV that has received the top rating. Before the launch, various tests including a hydrogen tank bullet penetration test and rupture test were carried out to ensure safety. Direct collision testing of the hydrogen valve part and rear end impact tests were performed in addition to the standard collision test. NEXO also won a silver award from the 2018 IDEA which is organized by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), a recognition for its design excellence.
